Mbita Ferry Services is the biggest marine transport company in Kenya’s Lake Victoria waters. It operates channel crossing services for passengers and assorted cargo between Mbita and Mfangano Island, and Mbita (Homabay) and Luanda Kotieno (Siaya). The company began its operations in 2003 and currently has four vessels.
The company has been handling cargo and passengers in Kenya but is currently prospecting to expand operations into the wider East Africa.
Our vessels carry adult passengers, children, motorbikes, bicycles, vehicles, trucks, animals, tuk tuk, and assorted merchandise charging differently for each item. Our customers find our experience cost effective, efficient and time saving.
We aim to be the leading marine transport company in Lake Victoria. Specifically, we intend to move cargo within Lake Victoria to harness the opportunity offered by the East African Community.
